For placement at Rotara School, the referring school and/or parents need to complete relevant SIAS documents for referral to a special school. Together with supporting documents like psychologist report, medical reports, etc, must be submitted to the Institutional Support Services at the Gauteng Department of Education. According to Policy of Inclusivity, all learners need to be given access to and afforded an opportunity to education in mainstream schools before being admitted to a LSEN school. Department of Education will assess the learner and make recommendations for suitable placement. Parents are urged to make an appointment for a scholastic assessment with our Occupational Therapists before being enrolled at school.
