Phase 1: Where learning is fun and playing is learning!
Educators plan according to the Differentiated Caps Curriculum. The three learning areas – Language, Mathematics and Life Skills – are integrated, because learners must be developed holistically.
Planning is done according to prescribed topics and continuously adapted according to the ability of the learners. Straddling can be done between grades to accommodate learners. Worksheets are differentiated and/or different levels of assistance are given to learners to complete tasks. Learners are taught communication skills according to ability. Learner assessment is done according to the requirements of DCAPS
