Sport and Cultural Programmes

Sport and Cultural activities are an integral part of the school’s extracurricular activities and plays a crucial role in the holistic development of learners.

Sport: The school is affiliated with Special Olympics which is a sporting body that focuses on developing skills for learners with disabilities. Currently our learners participate in soccer, netball, cricket, athletics and bocce. Over the years, our learners have excelled in sport, and many have achieved provincial and national colours.

Arts and Cultural Activities: Learners participate in the annual Carletonville Arts Festival as well RACA (Randfontein Arts and Cultural Association) Eisteddfod. Their Creative Art pieces are proudly exhibited and learners perform with confidence on stage. Over the years, our learners have obtained diamond and platinum awards at these festivals.

Anelisa Maninjwa

So proud of Anelisa. She was selected to be part of the Gauteng Athletic Team for Special Olympics and they went to Polokwane for national competition. She obtained a GOLD medal for shotput. Well done to her

Carletonville Arts Festival

Our learners were privileged to participate in the Poetry section for English and Afrikaans.


English poetry achieved 2 Silver, 6 Gold and 1 Merit awards.
Afrikaans poetry achieved 1 Gold and 2 Merit awards.

Katlego Mbezu, Andries Motlhabi and Chimoné Badenhorst received special rewards at the Arts Festival prize giving for being the best achievers in their category.
